Mr. Bohn wins at trial again.

Tuesday, September 9th, 2008

On August 11, 2008 judgment was entered in favor of the plaintiffs in the case of Lee v. Lee.  In a case involving issues of disputed ownership of Fresno County Real Estate, Mr. Bohn’s clients were successful in the following causes of action against the defendants:

  • Quiet Title
  • Slander of Title
  • Fraud
  • Cancellation of Instrument
  • Constructive Trust

The case of Lee v. Lee was presided over by the honorable Adolfo Corona.  This dispute involved complex claims to real property including over 20 deeds to properties some of which were determined to be fraudulent.  Mr. Bohn, a Fresno real estate attorney, focuses his practice on all areas involving complex litigation issues.  Having been a realtor and real estate investor since 1994, he understands both the abstract legal issues surrounding real estate practice combined with the actual business practices of real estate professionals on the street.  It is with this expertise that he was able to achieve a successful verdict for his clients.

ICE Immigration Enforcement At All Time High

Thursday, July 17th, 2008

The recent arrests of 16 suspected undocumented workers at a Loveland, Colorado concrete plant show that ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) officers continue to aggressively pursue their policy to deport undocumented workers with no previous criminal records.  This policy underscores the urgent need for immigration reform which will allow hard-working immigrants the chance to earn legal status.  There are legal avenues for undocumented workers to gain legal permanent resident status even if they initially came to the United States illegally.  In some circumstances, if your children are U.S. citizens and you have an extreme hardship, we can help you to gain legal status.  For more information call me to discuss the particulars of your case. Recent Trial Success!

Friday, July 11th, 2008

May 2008: Jeffrey D. Bohn, real estate attorney, achieved a successful verdict for his client in the recent trial entitled, Gaston vs. Lo, in Fresno County Superior Court.  In this case, the court found for the plaintiff, holding that defendant Joanne Myyer Lo filed a fraudulent deed conveying the property in question to her daughter, Douachong Diane Lo after she had previously sold the property to the Plaintiffs seven years earlier.  The court ruled that the Ms. Lo filed was fraudulent and that was ruled “cancelled”.  Ownership of the property in question was restored to the Plaintiffs: Sally Vang Gaston and Chow Mai Vang.

Currently received a notice of foreclosure or just behind in your mortgage payments?

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

If you are currently seeking foreclosure help in the Fresno area, there are several ways that we can help you.  First, it is not in the best interest of the mortgage companies to add another foreclosure to their portfolios, therefore they are interested in potentially working you out of your financial troubles.  We were recently able to negotiate the rehabilitation of a client’s mortgage who was 5 days short of the foreclosure sale.  For another client who was five months late in her mortgage payment, we sucessfully negotiated to have the lender add the late payment balance to the principal balance AND reduce the interest rate.  Remember, just because you are in foreclosure does not mean that all is lost.  There are other remedies that we can use to prevent or minimize the credit damage you will suffer when you go through a foreclosure.  Call for an appointment and I would be happy to consult with you regarding your individual options.
